Prince Charles talking to staff in Tony Harrisons a local butcher. He left with a good helping of Cumberland Sausage – what else would he be given!
Cockermouth benefited from another visit by Prince Charles yesterday. He visited the town again following last years floods having a genuine interest in the area and Cockermouths recovery.
He visited business and places which have returned to some degree of normality after disastrous destruction of their premises and equipment, meeting with staff at James Walkers the town largest employer, Wordsworth House owned by the National Trust, Tony Harrison a local butcher, The Cockermouth Paper Shop and Mitchell’s Auction company who have helped accommodate several local businesses in temporary units around the town.
His visit was greatly appreciated by both residents, visitors and businesses alike
